My story…My journey…My passion

I believe everybody has a story and successful Human Resources (HR) all begin with a story.  Mine is a journey into creating truly heart-centered, people-centric HR.  An HR that is about people and for people!

Along the way, how I deliver HR Leadership has inextricably changed.  Following in my father’s footsteps, my career in Human Resources started with an internship leading to a job which lit my fire.  Never the average HR person, I learned early that the most important part of HR is connecting to people. The barometer of a company is reflected in how employees feel and perform.  So, my mission with every job was connecting with people.

Being the human face of HR throughout my career set me apart.  I experienced an incredible transformation after the birth of my son and my intuitive capabilities were blown wide open. I guess you could say, “I possess the winning trifecta of HR Strategy” – the education, the experience and the intuition that create my zone of genius.

I believe that people issues are symptoms of greater systemic issues within a company.  This is where I get lit up- honing into the root cause of a key unrealized business issue.  Seeing things from a holistic point of view enables me to step into any aspect of an organization to troubleshoot problems.

As an Intuitive HR Leader, I act as your guardian of harmony in the workplace. I possess an innate sense of justice as the universe works through me to restore balance and wholeness in others.

Recently, I’ve felt called to make a greater impact.  This epiphany led me to Second Chance Hiring and I became an advocate for recently released people (and justice-involved people) - assisting both them and the companies they want to work for in giving them the keys to a successful working relationship. This special population really shifted my heart. I feel passionate about serving them because many just don’t know how to be successful in the workplace.

I felt called to create a unique training program called Felons @ Work that helps HR professionals and other business leaders feel confident in hiring and retaining Formerly Incarcerated People. From there, my offerings have expanded to several freebies, an audit that helps businesses know if they are in line with best practices for hiring and retaining justice-involved employees, podcast guest, and second chance hiring business consulting.

Steady employment is one of the keystones to elevating formerly incarcerated people to have the tools needed to contribute to society in positive ways.

This is where I come in!
